Greyfriars is a well-known, bustling wee bar within Perth’s city centre located a stone’s throw from the River Tay which flows dramatically through the centre of Perth.

The bar is popular with locals but always enjoys a stream of visitors to Perth who are attracted by the Scottish feel to the venue and the fact that there is a regular programme of varied genres of live music. The bar is ideally situated for tourists due to the close proximity of the venue to a string of local hotels and guest houses.

From Scottish Traditional Music nights to Open Mic sessions and popular local bands playing Saturday nights, Greyfriars attracts a varied age group with its casual, easy-going style of hospitality.

The staff are warm and welcoming and can answer most of your questions about where to go and what to see in the area. They’re on first name terms with most of their regular customers and are as welcoming to the lone traveller looking for tourist advice as they are to a ladies hen group who have just arrived for “the big weekend”!

As well as a great selection of real ales, beers, wines and spirits, Greyfriars makes an ideal cosy spot in winter to enjoy a speciality coffee during a busy day enjoying Perth’s attractions.
